Complaints policy

How to raise a problem with us, and what happens next.

About our referral service

If you’re unhappy with how we handled your enquiry or your information, email hello@asbestoscentralcoast.com with:

  • your name and the number you called from or gave us
  • roughly when you contacted us
  • what went wrong, and what you’d like us to do

We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 15 business days. If it will take longer, we’ll tell you why.

If a business we referred you to doesn’t respond, or behaves in a way you think is wrong, tell us. We’ll look into it, and we stop referring to businesses that don’t treat people properly.

About the asbestos work

The business you were referred to is responsible for its work. Raise any problem with it first.

If that doesn’t resolve it, you can contact NSW Fair Trading about the service you received.

If you’re worried about how asbestos was removed, or whether a removalist holds the right licence, contact SafeWork NSW on 13 10 50 (SafeWork NSW). You can check a removalist’s licence yourself on SafeWork NSW’s register at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au.

To report asbestos waste that has been dumped, call the NSW EPA Environment Line on 131 555 (NSW EPA).

About your personal information

See our privacy policy. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
