Not sure which you need?

If you don’t know whether it’s asbestos, start with asbestos testing. You can’t be certain by looking: only a laboratory test of a sample can tell (SafeWork NSW).

If it’s been tested, or you’re treating it as asbestos and want it gone, that’s asbestos removal. More than 10 square metres of bonded asbestos, or any friable asbestos, must be removed by a licensed removalist (Central Coast Council).

Every licensed removal job ends with a clearance inspection by someone independent of the removal, before the area is used again (SafeWork NSW). Ask the removalist who will do it.
